KOMODO DRAGON DEVOURING A PIG

In the wild, Komodo dragons are formidable predators capable of taking down animals much larger than themselves, including pigs. When hunting a pig, a Komodo dragon relies on its powerful limbs, sharp claws, and serrated teeth to subdue its prey. It uses a combination of stealth and sudden bursts of speed to ambush the pig, delivering a powerful bite that injects venom containing toxins to lower blood pressure, induce shock, and prevent clotting. Once the pig is weakened or immobilized, the Komodo dragon begins to consume it, often swallowing large chunks of flesh whole. This primal feeding behavior showcases the dragon’s status as a dominant predator in its habitat.
